1. Eligibility 

The First National Bank “Go Paperless/Combined” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia and State of North Carolina who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of First National Bank (“Sponsor”), its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is void outside Virginia, North Carolina, and where prohibited or restricted by law.

2. Sweepstakes Period 

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on June 15, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on September 30, 2026 (“Sweepstakes Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.

3. How to Enter 

There are two (2) ways to enter: 

a. Automatic Entry by Enrolling in Combined e-Statements: 

During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible customers who convert their eligible First National Bank account(s) from paper statements to combined e-Statements by enrolling in combined e-Statements will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. 

 

b. Mail-In Entry: 

Mail a letter with your full name, street, and mailing address, age, telephone number, and email address to:

First National Bank – Go Paperless/Combined Sweepstakes, PO Box 29, 622 Broad St., Altavista, VA  24517. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by September 30, 2026, and received by October 5, 2026, to be eligible.

Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of method of entry. Multiple entries by the same person will be void.  The Entrant will be deemed the primary account holder on the account (or the person whose name first appears on the letter, if entered through the Mail-In Entry), regardless of the identity of the person enrolling the account in combined e-Statements. Limit one Entry per person, regardless of the entry method. Each eligible Entry, regardless of method of entry, will have an equal chance of winning. All Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Automated mail entries or those made using script, macro, sweepstakes service, automated entry software, or facsimiles will NOT be accepted. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, illegible, and/or incomplete. Entries that are unreadable, inaccurate, unintelligible, or which otherwise do not comply with these Official Rules will be disqualified. Entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and agrees to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding in all respects as it relates to this Sweepstakes.

 

4. Prizes 

One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive: A cash or check prize in the amount of $1,000. 

No substitution, assignment, or transfer of prize is permitted, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the prize becomes unavailable. All costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of a Prize, including, but not limited to, all federal, state and local taxes, are the Winner’s sole responsibility.

 

5. Winner Selection and Notification 

One prize will be awarded. On or about October 20, 2026, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. 

Potential winner will be notified by phone, email, or U.S. mail at the contact information provided. If a potential winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, or if notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. To request a list of winners after the close of the contest, please email marketing@1stnatbk.com

6. General Conditions 

By entering, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process, acting in violation of these rules, or acting in a disruptive manner. 

Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents are not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, stolen, or incomplete entries; (ii) technical errors of any kind; or (iii) any injury or damage to persons or property related to participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of the prize.

7. Publicity 

Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes the winner’s consent to Sponsor’s use of the winner’s name, likeness, and city/state of residence for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.

8. Governing Law

These rules are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without giving effect to conflicts of law rules.

 

9. Privacy 

Information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at Privacy › First National Bank.
