Q: How long can I use my VB&T debit card?

A: The last day to use your VB&T debit card is Monday, February 15, 2021. VB&T customers will not be able to perform balance inquires during conversion weekend.

Q How long will my VB&T Bill Pay remain active?

A: VB&T’s Bill Pay will be turned off on Monday, February 8, 2021. Customers will have access to Bill Pay after signing onto FNB’s online banking Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Q: What will happen to my existing Bill Pay accounts?

A: All payees and scheduled payments are expected to be converted. Once you have signed into FNB’s Bill Pay, please verify the accuracy of all scheduled bill payments, payees and payee addresses.

Q: What will happen to my mobile app?

A: Your VB&T Mobile Banking app will be discontinued on Friday, February 12, 2021 after 5:00 PM.

Q: How do I set up my FNB Mobile App?

A: You must first sign into FNB’s online banking from a web browser. Search for the “First Nat Mobile App” for smartphones and download it to your phone through Google Play (for Android) or the App Store (for iPhone).
Once you have downloaded the app, log in with your personal online banking username and password.

Q: Will my checking account number change?

A: At this time, your checking account number will remain the same. However, in the event that your account number has to change, you will be notified well in advance, and we will assist you every step of the way.

Q: How long can I use my checks after the merger?

A: You can continue to use your VB&T checks for up to six months after the core conversion (August 2021).

Q: Will I have to make changes to Social Security Direct Deposits or other Direct Deposits?

A: Your current direct deposits and automatic payments will continue without interruption.

Q: Do FNB's fees and service changes differ from VB&T's?

A: There may be changes to some of your accounts. Some fees may decrease, stay the same or increase. Please refer to the Product Conversion Chart for more information.

Q: Will the interest rates and terms on my CDs and IRAs remain the same?

A: You will continue to earn the interest rate, which was guaranteed on your fixed-rate CD or IRA when you opened your account, for the remainder of the account term. Upon maturity, CD and IRA accounts will be renewed at the current rates in effect for your term on that date, unless you’ve been notified otherwise. Please refer to the Product Conversion Chart for more information.

Q: How will this affect my FDIC insurance coverage?

A: Deposits at VB&T will be separately insured from deposits at FNB for at least six months after the merger. Certificates of Deposit (CDs) from VB&T are separately insured until the earliest maturity date after the end of the six-month grace period. CDs that mature during the six-month period and are renewed for the same term and in the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest) continue to be separately insured until the first maturity date after the six-month period.

If a CD matures during the six-month grace period and is renewed for any other term, it would be separately insured only until the end of the six month grace period. For additional information on FDIC deposit insurance coverage contact the First National Bank Customer Support Team or your local banker.

Q: Who should I call for questions about my account?

A: Prior to conversion, customers can call VB&T at 434-793-6411. After the conversion, customers can call FNB's Customer Support Team at 1-800-557-7177.

Q: Will the merger affect my existing loan/line?

A: Your loan account will retain its existing terms and conditions.

Q: Will my loan account number change?

A: At this time, your loan account number will remain the same. However, in the event that your account number has to change, you will be notified well in advance.
